So, yesterday we had our first REAL snowfall, and I wasn’t even home to see it. SADFACE. I was in Vermont for my mom’s fiftieth birthday party (That she LOVED) but the best part about that trip was that all of the Christmas lights were up on Church Street, and I and my dad took a long walk taking pictures down there. I found some really good inspiration in a few little shops on the street that I can’t wait to try out when I get a better camera. But with the small, HORRID camera I have now (Can you see that 6 MP is bugging me now… ) I did get some okay shots in, that I haven’t yet put up on my computer to see if they are dA worthy for all of you guys!

But this brings me to my question.

What Camera or Cameras do you use AND WHY you would recommend it?

As you know I am looking into a new camera and my dad has his heart set on a Canon… I think it’s the 12 MP non detachable lenses. I’m upset I would rather save up about $400 more and buy the 15.1 MP with the detachable lenses. But that’s just me, and he rather not spend that much, and buy the 12 now and then when the 20MP come out he would buy the 15.1... I don’t see the point... buy the 15.1 now and then wait for something bigger than the 20 after because I’m sure the 15.1 will work fine!

But anyway... I’m looking for something under $500 and I am open to anything as long as there is a really good reason behind it... To sway my dad from canon you might as well give up and teach a cow to walk down stairs because it is a lot easier!
